CRESCERA INVESTIMENTOS is managed by an Executive Committee, composed of senior partners with extensive experience in the Brazilian financial, corporate and capital markets. In addition to direct involvement in the investment process, the Executive Committee members are responsible for running and implementing of the company’s business, with ultimate responsibility for its governance and risk management.
Co-CEO at CRESCERA INVESTIMENTOS, senior partner and member of the Executive Committee, Mr. Borghi co-heads the Education platform of the Private Equity area. He joined the team more than 10 years ago. He was previously an executive at McKinsey & Co for 3 years, working mainly in financial institutions. He has extensive background in the PE/VC industry, was executive at Docas Participações S/A, an investment holding company, and was also a partner at Finance Ltda., working in M&A, Venture Capital and restructuring. Mr.Borghi has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, a Masters in Economics from IBMEC and holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications from PUC-Rio. He serves as Board Member for NRE Educacional, Medcel, Uniceplac and Wide.
Co-CEO at CRESCERA INVESTIMENTOS, senior partner and member of the Executive Committee, Mr. Cardoso co-heads the Consumer, Retail & Services platform of the Private Equity area. He joined the team more than 10 years ago. He was previously a Director of M&A at Bradesco Banco de Investimentos and an Economist at the IMF. Mr. Cardoso holds a Master of Arts and C.Phil degree in Economics from UCLA. He currently serves as a Board Member for Estapar, Hospital Care, Hospital São Lucas, Grupo Baía Sul, Vita Participações and Rede Oba Hortifruti, participates in Estapar’s HR advisory committee, and has served as Board Member for Hortifruti and Forno de Minas.
Senior partner and member of the Executive Committee of Crescera Investimentos, Mrs. Rodrigues co-heads the Consumer, Retail & Services platform of the Private Equity area. She joined the team 10 years ago. Prior to joining Crescera, she worked at Plural Capital in their private equity practice, at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York advising financial sponsors in their investments in the US, and at Pacific Advisors in São Paulo investing in private equity and venture capital transactions. Mrs. Rodrigues holds an MBA from Columbia Business School with concentration in Private Equity and Real Estate, and holds a degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (EAESP-FGV). She serves as a Board Member for Hospital Vera Cruz, Hospital Care, Hospital São Lucas, Grupo Baía Sul, Vita Participações and Rede Oba Hortifruti, has served as Board Member and advisory committee member for Hortifruti. Mrs. Rodrigues also participates on the Estapar’s, Rede Oba’s and Hospital Care’s advisory committees. She is a member of the Public Policy Council at LAVCA and of the Latin American Counsel at EMPEA.
Senior partner and member of the Executive Committee of Crescera Investimentos, Mr. Argalji co-heads the Education platform of the Private Equity area. He joined the team more than 10 years ago. He began his career working as an analyst in the Private Equity Division of Gávea Investimentos, where he covered investments in several sectors including agribusiness, logistics, retail and utilities. Mr. Argalji holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from IBMEC Business School, Rio de Janeiro. He serves as Board Member for NRE and participated in Abril Educação’s and Anima’s finance and M&A advisory committees.
